Feelgood Yoga

The last few years have been unsettling – many of the hopes and wishes many of us had for the future have been shaken and perhaps the future is less certain. How do you go about finding your centre again and how do you feel optimism for what is to come?

New beginnings are to be found everywhere – a new year. A new moon, a new month, a new week – even a new day. Every one of those is an opportunity for a new attitude and a step towards a brighter future. Or a duller future, if you prefer – but it is important to recognise that is it actually your preference.

Dru Yoga is Feelgood Yoga

Dru yoga is a wonderful vehicle for clearing old and stuck mind and body patterns and making way for a brighter, sparklier tomorrow.

In Dru we work on our unique ‘energy block release’ sequences’. These are designed to work on the body from the inside out – clearing those stuck emotions and physical blockages so they don’t get embedded in the system and ultimately lead to dis-ease. We add to the class some posture work – with the emphasis on comfort and accessibility for every body. Every posture – or asana – comes with benefits for the body and mind; and in Dru we embrace these benefits. The aim is to empower you through you yoga practice – to genuinely enable you to feel good on every level.

RELAX!

Every yoga class includes a deep relaxation. In deep relaxation the body – having moved and stretched on the way to this point – can relax maximally allowing those movements can have their best effect. The mind can safely take a rest from thinking and take a few minutes to sit in peace. For whatever reason this is indeed a popular part of the class.

At the end of the class you are encouraged to reconnect with the body and gently return to the here and now. With plenty uplifting mantras and optimism thrown in, a Dru yoga class is the ultimate in self-care. In my humble opinion the most amazing Feelgood Practice you can do.
