How to change the world – with Yoga
Yoga is connection – connection to the self and connection to all. The world around us, it is said, reflects our internal world. It is true that what you find in the world is determined by what you expect to find. Where attention goes, energy flows. Yoga brings a sense of perspective to how you see the world.
The recent solar eclipse got me thinking about how everyone’s attention was focused on that one thing on that one day – and the power of observation gave the event a huge energy. In truth – wherever we give our attention we add to its energy. Sometimes it seems the media want to add something other than positive energy to a situation – we all have the choice to add to that, or to create something more beneficial. Choose where you want to direct your personal energy. It’s the only choice you have to make.
Energy goes ..
The Earth needs wisdom and love, not fear.
We all have a role to play – yet all we can do is make our own individual choices. To change the world, therefore, we must take responsibility for ourselves and the choices we make. To be the best version of ourselves and to create a space our best outcomes – for our own good, for the good of those around us and for humanity as a whole.
Yoga is Connection
Yoga is connection. When we practice yoga, we accept that we are part of the whole. Yoga empowers us on every level – from the physical through the mental and emotional. When we rise into our best self by working on all of the layers of the self, we enrich our own landscape – and by definition, therefore, the landscape around us.
So, yoga- changes the world one person at a time. Starting with you.
