A Retreat for you
Are you looking forward to the next 6 weeks? 6 weeks of children at home – 6 weeks of staycationing. Will the weather hold? Will there be plenty to entertain the kids?
Relying on family, mum, dad, taking precious time from work to be day-carer, friends, local play-schemes – the list goes on. By September when school reopens you’re frazzled and ready for a break.
Yoga retreat 16th September
On September 16th I’ve organised a mini retreat for you – a real treat, a chance to unwind and claim back a little of you. Sounds like a tall order – but it’s amazing what a little self-love can achieve. And something to look forward to – just as good!
This mini-retreat runs during school hours. So you’ll have time after dropping the children to grab a coffee and your yoga mat and get to St Mary’s Island in Whitley Bay in plenty time. The tide covers at 10am.
Your day
We settle into the function room at the Island beforehand and stand overlooking the causeway as it covers. Stranded. Back in the room there is Dru yoga movements and some deep relaxation – with a midway break to get some fresh air and enjoy the wildlife around the Island. Dru Yoga is beautifully flowing and works on all aspects of the body, breath, mindset and soul. You will leave feeling wonderfully relaxed yet energised – we get people coming back time and time again for more of this amazing state!
As the tide recedes we leave our cosy space and prepare to return to the mainland. Watching the sea part to uncover the causeway is one of the most powerful symbols of a day well-spent: back to reality – but with a new perspective. The causeway clears around 2pm on this day – so plenty time to drop back home before landing back at the school gate.
